I’m a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in Washington State (LH 60777033), a mom and Love & Logic parenting skills instructor. I hold a Master’s Degree in Psychology from Seattle University and a Bachelor’s in Clinical Psychology as well as Ethnic Relations & Cultures.

I’ve been working as a children’s mental health professional since 2013.  After 4 years as a school counselor, I have gained valuable insight into helping families navigate communication with the school. In addition to having worked in a variety of agencies, as a member of Washington Association of Play Therapy and a member of American Mental Health Counselors Association, I value active learning and involvement in organizations to stay current in my profession.

My practice emphasizes existential and humanistic approaches. I respect what my clients bring into the session and start from what’s in the room to expand on what’s in their life journey. Human beings learn and adapt from past experiences. A reaction in the past that successfully helps them through challenging times could  stay with them and become a part of their character over time.  Collectively, these characters make up who a person is and how they interact with the world and even become how they subconsciously view themselves. I believe character traits of a person are unique and each aspect hopes to be understood, seen and recognized.

A professional and safe counseling relationship gives people a chance to learn more about these traits in themselves, which oftentimes are their strength, and are sometimes what makes them stuck with the new challenges they are facing. When clients gain clarity  about their traits, they are usually empowered to unfold more capacity inside  themselves to go further. It’s a profound privilege to be part of my clients’ life journey, and embrace together what’s to come.

Contact me and see if we are a good fit.
