Fee
Individual Counseling
The fee for a standard 50-minute individual counseling session is $160.
A limited number of Pay-What-You-Can appointments are available each month. Please contact me to ask about current sliding-scale availability.
Couples Counseling
Couples counseling is offered on a self-pay basis and is not billed through insurance.
-
50-minute couples counseling session: $190
-
90-minute couples counseling session: $240
A 90-minute session may be recommended when additional time would help both partners participate fully, slow down difficult conversations, and work through concerns without feeling rushed. The session length and fee will be discussed in advance.
Insurance Coverage
I work with a range of insurance plans for individual counseling.
I use multiple secure platforms to manage insurance eligibility, billing, claims, and client payments. The platform used for your services will depend on your specific insurance plan. Coverage depends on your specific policy, network, location, and benefits. Insurance benefit information is an estimate and does not guarantee payment. Any amount not covered by insurance remains the client’s responsibility.
Out-of-Network Reimbursement
For clients using out-of-network benefits, I can provide a superbill that you may submit to your insurance company for possible reimbursement.
The full session fee is due at the time of service. Depending on your plan, your insurance company may reimburse you for a portion of the fee. Because reimbursement varies, I recommend confirming your out-of-network mental health benefits, deductible, reimbursement rate, and telehealth coverage directly with your insurance carrier before beginning services.
Cancellation and Rescheduling Policy
At least 24 hours’ notice is required to cancel or reschedule an appointment.
Your appointment time is reserved specifically for you. When a session is cancelled or rescheduled with less than 24 hours’ notice, there is often not enough time to offer that appointment to another client who may be waiting for care.
For this reason, appointments cancelled or rescheduled with less than 24 hours’ notice may be charged a $75 late-cancellation fee.
Late-cancellation fees are not covered by insurance and are the client’s responsibility. Exceptions may be considered in the event of a true emergency or an unexpected circumstance outside the client’s control. Please communicate as soon as possible if an emergency affects your ability to attend.
Payment Methods
Payment is due before each session and may be made by:
-
Credit or debit card
-
Apple Pay
-
PayPal
-
An eligible HSA or FSA card
An HSA, or Health Savings Account, and an FSA, or Flexible Spending Account, allow eligible healthcare expenses to be paid with pre-tax funds. Clients are responsible for confirming whether individual or couples counseling is eligible under their specific HSA or FSA plan.
Please contact me before your first appointment if you have questions about fees, insurance, payment, or setting up the appropriate billing platform.
